Swiss digital health firm QUMEA raises €9.6M for its intelligent healthcare warning systems - Silicon Canals unknown
Switzerland-based QUMEA, a digital health firm specialising in intelligent early warning systems for healthcare providers, secures CHF 9M (approximately €9.64M) in a Series A round of funding.
The investment came from Zürcher Kantonalbank, PB Invest, two family offices, and a growth loan from UBS.
Furthermore, all existing investors also participated in this oversubscribed Series A round. The growth loan from UBS reflects confidence in QUMEA’s commercial scalability and overall business development.
Capital utilisation
The secured funds will propel QUMEA towards attaining market leadership in chosen global markets. Furthermore, the funding will bolster QUMEA’s product strategy, focusing on broadening its ‘Software as a Medical Device’ portfolio introduced in 2023.
Cyrill Gyger, CEO of QUMEA, says, “We are grateful to have had multiple options for this financing round, which is not to be taken for granted in the current funding environment. We chose an investor structure that perfectly aligns with our values and long-term strategy.”
“The trust and continued support of our investor base are invaluable. Now we are perfectly positioned to replicate our Swiss success in international markets,” adds Gyger.
