Illinois health system taps new virtual care partner unknown
Carbondale-based Southern Illinois Healthcare partnered with digital health company Xealth to expand its virtual treatment offerings.
Xealth's platform integrates within an organization's EHR and aims to allow clinicians to prescribe digital care on a unified platform. Initially, the program will provide digital health content to patients in the smoking cessation program, according to a Feb. 8 Xealth news release.
"SIH provides optimal care to the people in our communities," Todd Guenzburger, MD, chief health informatics officer for Southern Illinois Healthcare, said. "This requires reaching our patients where they are, both in-person and digitally. Bringing in Xealth to automate and deliver digital health resources is important for connecting our care teams with program participants.
