Health systems listed as 'Most Wired' unknown

The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives has recognized several hospitals and health systems as achieving level 10 status in its 2023 "Digital Health Most Wired" program.

CHIME's Most Wired list acknowledges healthcare organizations that have adopted and deployed information technology to improve patient safety and health outcomes across the industry.

Hospitals included in the Most Wired program are certified as levels 1 through 10, with levels 9 and 10 designating the health IT leaders that have displayed the highest and most innovative uses of technology at their respective organizations. CHIME's Most Wired list aims to recognize healthcare organizations that have adopted and leveraged information technology to improve patient safety and outcomes in the industry.

Here are the 19 level 10 acute hospitals and health systems that achieved level 10 Most Wired eligibility from CHIME in 2023:

1. Jefferson Abington (Pa.) Hospital.

2. Baptist Health, based in Coral Gables, Fla.

3. Intermountain Health, based in Salt Lake City. 

4. Cedars Sinai, based in Los Angeles. 

5. Geisinger Health, based in Danville, Pa.

6. Jefferson Health New Jersey, based in Stratford.

7. Jefferson Health Northeast, locations in Northeast Philadelphia and Bucks County, Pa.

8. Jersey City (N.J.) Medical Center. 

9. Mayo Clinic, based in Rochester, Minn.

10. Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus, based in Lakewood, N.J.

11. Orlando (Fla.) Health.

12. RWJ University Hospital at Hamilton, based in Hamilton Township, N.J.

13. RWJBarnabas Health, based in West Orange, N.J.

14. Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, based in Philadelphia.

15. UNC Health, based in Chapel Hill, N.C.
