CVS Health has been making moves to further its ambitions of becoming a healthcare destination; most notably, its CEO said the company wants to push into primary care.

Here are four healthcare moves CVS has made in the past two months:

  1. CVS was predicted to be the top acquirer of healthcare companies in 2023, according to a survey of 90 health tech experts by Health Tech Nerds.

  2. CVS Health Ventures and Intermountain Ventures, the venture capital arm of Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Healthcare, joined a $90 million series E funding round for virtual care provider Maven Clinic.

  3. CVS Health has partnered with digital health company Ixlayer to offer at-home testing kits at its stores and online for sexually transmitted diseases, vitamin D deficiencies, thyroid disorders and Lyme disease.

  4. CVS Health CEO Karen Lynch said the company wants to make a greater push into primary care and expects to announce an acquisition within the year.
