This edition of the Newsletter is a long version, which is summarizing the main developments seen during the last 8 weeks.
US, Europe and Asia are experiencing shifts in Healthcare. Each country is at a different point in the journey and interestingly enough we see the following shifts happening, across geographies worldwide:
- shifting to very early diagnosis and more prevention
- shifting from the hospital to outpatient care to home care
- shifting to value based reimbursement models and healthcare providers assuming risks
- new memberships and subscriptions for Consumers on top of health insurance offerings
These shifts become possible for healthcare providers and retail companies which have the size and the technological skills to apply new technologies around AI, Remote Patient Monitoring and Digital Twins.
However, and this is a BIG IF: the successful companies will answer medical questions. At the core these shifts are about becoming a more efficient and more customer friendly healthcare provider that keeps people healthy and delivers better outcomes at a very attractive price.
